I had a TV that only 3 HDMI ports. I needed an extra, so there was no need to keep the cables between the Xbox and Playstation. I purchased this product for this purpose, I read all the posts on switchin power between the two devices, but as the only one at a time when it was the perfect choice!

Its line powered so you don t need to find room for another mains adaptor and it automatically switches to whichever input device was switched on last (with a manual override should you wish).
